![]() ![]() “I hate those rotten Cruthfields! They stole my father away from me!” (Her father murdered the father of the Cruthfield family) She keeps up the idea that she dislikes the Crutchfields for all their wrong doings- (Which seem to be nothing other then selling the land they own) while making up reasons why it’s cool, no big fucking deal that she’s in love with the Crutchfield’s son. For me, she was boring and incredibly selfish. Kaitlin is not a very likable main character. The story is an obvious take off of the famous Hatfield-McCoy feud. ![]() It’s not that it’s bad per say, the writing was actually very well done - but more so because its just the same old story. I honestly wasn’t that much of a fan of this book. This legacy of hatred has never been questioned–until Kaitlin meets a boy and begins to fall in love with him before she discovers that he is a Crutchfield … and the son of the man her father has gone to prison for killing. Kaitlin Malone has been raised to hate the Crutchfields, relatives the Malones have feuded with for as long as Kaitlin can remember. ![]()
